At Monterrey Security, state-certified training is just the beginning of the
training our guards receive. Our Illinois training program, for example,
surpasses the State's minimum training requirements. Our guards receive
additional training in methods of securing buildings, project sites and
vehicles, identifying potential threats, crime prevention techniques, rules and
regulations for security officers and appropriate state and municipal laws.
Most of our competitors offer only the State of Illinois required minimum 20
hours of classroom training. We also offer clients the option of site-specific
training for all guards before they are cleared to work a client's site.
Because Monterrey Security uses only trained law
enforcement officers for armed security services, every armed guard Monterrey
deploys is guaranteed to be an active law enforcement officer with a minimum of
600 hours of police and firearms training-including annual re-qualification in
the use of deadly force. In contrast, other security companies use civilians
who have had as little as a one-time 40 hour training course in the use of
firearms as armed guards.
At Monterrey Security, if our employees don't carry a badge, they don't carry a
gun.
