Monterrey Security is a premier security firm offering a broad range of
prevention and protection services to clients large and small. Our mission is
to provide private security services grounded in established law enforcement
and public safety techniques. Monterrey Security is a fast-growing company with
the size and flexibility to handle diverse client needs. Based in the near west
Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Monterrey Security is centrally located to all
of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
Juan Gaytan, President of Monterrey Security, was awarded the Rising Star
Entrepreneur Award at the 13th annual Hispanic Business magazine’s Entrepreneur
of the Year (EOY) Awards.
Monterrey Security is fully licensed by the State of Illinois Department of
Professional Regulations as a Security Agency, Security Contractor and a
Private Detective Agency. All our guards receive State issued permanent
employee registration cards. The classroom and field training our guards
receive surpasses State of Illinois requirements.
Since all our armed guards are off-duty law enforcement officials, they are
certified by the state to carry concealed firearms, and receive annual
re-certification.
In addition, individual staff hold certifications in occupational safety and
health, construction safety, hazardous materials handling, crowd control
management and evacuation planning.
A minority-owned firm, Monterrey Security is certified by the City of Chicago
as a minority-business enterprise (MBE). Monterrey is also actively pursing
federal 8(a) certification as a minority-owned business.
